Orlando 2011

First Morgan Family Vacation requiring a plane since August 2010 - we were all going through withdrawal (I know, cue the violins...). So we had a nice direct Southwest flight that got in around noon. We got a super cheap rental car from Payless - Ma would love the PT Cruiser!!! From there we went to lunch at McDonalds and picked up some essentials at Publix (water, alcohol, pretzels, and string cheese if you must know). Then we were off to check in to our hotel...

The Springhill Suites on International Drive:

This hotel is new and well-designed. Super modern lobby
and nice rooms. We have two double beds and a little
dividing wall that separates the couch so we have a place to
hang out while the kiddos sleep. There is plenty of storage for all our stuff too which is nice. It was nice and warm at lunch so
we tried to go for a swim when we checked in. The pool is heated
but you would only be comfortable if you were completely submerged due to the wind. This hotel is right by Seaworld and even has a shuttle (not sure if we're going to use that or not).

We decided to return to Taverna Opa again so Drew could dance on a table again. I even think she might be wearing the same outfit that she did last year. Our seats were much better this year and she actually got to dance with the dancer which she adored. Here is a video - sorry the mood lighting in the restaurant makes it really dark.

The kids were snuggled all safe in their beds by 730 (630 central time thank you melatonin) and the parents were in bed by 900 because we have a big day at Hollywood Studios tomorrow!
